Preparing, cooking, and serving delicious gyros, fries,and other foods - and having fun doing it - is the first step to building your career at Parthenon Gyros. We offer part time or full time schedules depending on what you are looking for and the needs of the restaurant. We are looking for team members that can become the next generation of leaders.

 

Our team members take pride in preparing, cooking, and serving Tasty Made’s delicious food and strive to be better with each guest they serve. They do this by following proper recipes and procedures, adhering to our high standards regarding food safety, ensuring their areas are always clean and sanitized, and delivering extraordinary customer service. 

 

Team members get to learn about and work at a variety of stations including, but not limited to: Prep Cook, Fry Cook, Grill Cook, Cashier, Drive-Thru, Expo, and Attendant. Each crew member, regardless of their station, communicates or interacts with guests directly.  

 

Team members’ responsibilities require them to be on their feet working while clocked in, unless on break. If they are not busy, they are expected to take on tasks they see that need to get done, and pitch in to help their teammates as well as their guests.

 

In addition to following Tasty Made’s policies and procedures, principal responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

Preparing, Cooking, and Serving Food

• Accurately following recipes 

• Dicing, cutting, and slicing vegetables 

• Properly cooking burgers and frying potatoes 

• Completing duties neatly and timely

• Preparing and cooking food as needed by anticipating and reacting to customer volume

• Reducing or eliminating waste where possible

• Working toward understanding and articulating Food With Integrity

• Ensuring fast service 

• Maintaining high quality food throughout the shift

 

Food Safety 

• Consistently and accurately using prep sheets, the Daily HACCP Control Log, cleaning lists, and station checklists

• Following Tasty Made sanitation standards including washing cookware and utensils throughout the day

• Cleaning equipment, as assigned, thoroughly and in a timely fashion according to Tasty Made sanitation guideline

• Maintaining a Healthy and presentable appearance while at work

• Be able to understand and relay correct Food Safety protocols to ensure our high Food Standards are upheld and our guests have a safe dining experience 

 

Customer Interaction and Hospitality 

• Ensuring each guest is received and treated in a warm, friendly, and generous way

• Ensuring each guest is served quickly

• Ensuring that every order is accurate

• Ensuring each guest’s needs are met through being conscientious and curious

• Going above and beyond for each guest whenever possible

• Helping to ensure that issues are resolved and a manager is notified about any poor experience 

• Provide an environment that leaves each guest with the desire to return again in order to experience the same level of care and commitment from our staff 

• Maintaining a high level of energy throughout the shift to ensure every guest has the same experience 

 

The ideal candidate will:

• Have the desire and ability to develop positive working relationships with all restaurant employees and work as part of a team by helping others as needed or requested

• Have the ability to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other employees

• Have the ability to maintain a professional appearance at all times and display a positive and enthusiastic approach to all assignments

• Be able to exhibit a cheerful and helpful attitude, and provide exceptional customer service to every guest

• Be able to adapt to changing customer volume levels with a sense of urgency

• Have the ability to demonstrate a complete understanding of the menu

• Be able to follow instructions for recipes and sanitation guidelines

• Have the ability to be cross-trained in all areas of the restaurant

• Have the ability to communicate in the primary language(s) of the work location

 

 

At Parthenon we have an additional job title, Team Trainer, that can be achieved once validated in all areas of the restaurant. However, all Team Members and Team Trainers will play the role of dishwasher, cashier, expo, grill cook, fry cook prep cook, etc. so be prepared to learn a lot and work hard if you join the team. Most of the jobs that we are hiring for are entry level positions. Job Description: The General Manager provides overall leadership and direct supervision of the Assistant Managers and team members in the restaurant. The General Manager ensures that the restaurant meets or exceeds the performance and guest satisfaction goals that have been established for our brand and your restaurant. The General Manager will directly perform hands-on operational work as necessary to select and train new employees, respond to immediate customer service needs, or to otherwise role model appropriate skills and behaviors in the restaurant.  The General Manager will have ultimate P&L responsibility for the assigned restaurant and will be expected to consistently monitor and achieve multiple measurements and standards of operational strength, financial performance, and unusually high levels of guest satisfaction. 
 
Focal points for the Restaurant General Manager include ensuring that performance targets in hospitality, guest service, margin performance and employee satisfaction and retention are met. The General Manager will maintain Parthenon Gyros standards in food safety, and quality control, as well as assist in the selection, training, and development of management and teams.
 
Job Responsibilities include:

  • Execute Parthenon Gyros highest standards of hospitality, service, and financial performance

  • Maintain ultimate P&L responsibility for assigned restaurant

  • Track KPI’s and proactively execute programs to assure achievement of corporate goals and standards

  • Coach and provide ongoing training for restaurant team, commencing with assistant managers

  • Assure appropriate execution of local store marketing efforts

  • Interact with community to achieve awareness and goodwill of our customer base

 
Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three (3) years of Restaurant General Manager experience, with a demonstrable record of success in a high-volume restaurant environment

  • QSR or fast-casual dining experience is preferred

  • Proficiency as an outstanding communicator – both written and verbal

  • Previous P&L responsibility

  • Candidate must be passionate about, and thrive on the development and mentoring of teams

  • Must possess the ability to drive positive sales and raise guest counts

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. High School diploma or GED required.

  • Openness to relocation based upon company needs is considered a plus
